Call Connector integrates seamlessly with Salesforce through OAuth 2.0 authentication, automatically capturing all customer communications. Calls, SMS, and faxes are all logged as Task records, related to the found contact and/or opportunity. Fax files are uploaded as attachments on the contact's details page. The integration automatically creates Outbound Messages and Workflow Rules in your Salesforce account (with "call_connector" in their names) for accurate contact and lead matching - these are essential and should not be modified.

How It Works

Setting up the Salesforce integration takes about 5 minutes. Simply connect your Salesforce account through OAuth 2.0 - click 'Authorize' in the ion8 Connect App Authorization tab, sign into Salesforce, and authorize the connection. Call Connector will automatically create two Outbound Messages and two Workflow Rules in your Salesforce account (these will contain "call_connector" in their names) - these are essential for accurate contact and lead matching, so don't modify or remove them.

Once connected, Call Connector captures every communication in real-time. Calls, SMS, and faxes are all logged as Task records, related to the found contact and/or opportunity when applicable. For faxes, when a contact is found, the fax file is also uploaded as an attachment on the contact's details page for easy access. If you accidentally modify or remove the auto-created Outbound Messages or Workflow Rules, simply re-configure your service in the App Authorization page to recreate them.
