How It Works

Setting up the Dynamics 365 Sales integration takes about 10 minutes. First, ensure you have a Microsoft Dynamics 365 license with access to the Sales app, an environment set up within your Microsoft tenant that includes the Sales app, and Dataverse Search enabled in this environment (allows Call Connector to accurately search for contacts). Then, connect your Dynamics 365 environment through OAuth 2.0 - enter your Environment URL in the ion8 Connect App Authorization tab, sign into your Microsoft account, and authorize the connection.

Once connected, Call Connector captures every communication in real-time. Calls are logged as Phone Call activities. SMS messages appear as Notes on the Contact timeline. Faxes are stored as Fax records - enabling the Timeline component for Fax records (optional but recommended) makes fax files visible in the UI with the Note attachment displayed on the right side.
